To be able to assess a patient with visual symptom or a visual loss, to recognize its cause that requires a medical or a rehabilitation treatment or an optical compensation

Management of a patient affected by a visual symptom or visual deficit

Ocular Anatomy and Histology
Ocular embryology and development of the visual system, the orbit and its contents, structure of the nervous pathways, the ocular adnexa, the ocular globe
Physiology of vision
The light, retinal image formation, physiology of the cornea, sclera, lens, iris, vitreous body, emmetropia and ametropia, physiology of the ocular circulation, aqueous humor, ocular adnexa, retina, optic nerve and optic pathways
Elements of Ocular Pathology
Pathology of the orbit, eyelids, lacrimal apparatus, conjunctiva, cornea, sclera and episclera, lens, vitreous body, ocular hydrodynamics, uvea, retina, optic nerve and optic pathway, eye refraction
Low Vision
Patient summary and low vision classification, low vision aids, pediatric low vision, peripheral and central low vision
Ocular Semiotics
Direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy: tools and techniques- Fundus Camera Systems-Endothelial Microscopy-Confocal Microscopy-optional L.A.F. lens for fundus examination -Tonometry and Tonometers-Pachymetry-Ecobiometry-Imaging Techniques in Ophthalmology (OCT etc..) – Visual Field Examination: perimeters and campimeters.
