Analysis of the structures of the most important classes of natural products. Modern methodologies in natural product syntheses. Focus on the literature syntheses of a specific class of compounds. Laboratory stage (two full weeks): total synthesis of a natural product.

Type of Assessment
The scientific report related to the laboratory activity is compulsory and it is part of the exam. The bibliographic search of the literature methods of synthesis of a natural product and the description of one of these syntheses are also part of the exam.
