Course program
Issues related to the teaching and learning of mathematics through some important "theories" giving a general overview of the research in mathematics education. In details: Piaget and constructivism in mathematics education;
The Theory of Didactical Situations;
Vygotsky and the theory of of Semiotic Mediation;
Sfard and the Theory of "commognition". Issues related to the teaching of mathematics in Secondary School: the use of History of Mathematics, Argumentation and proof; Mathematical learning difficulties;
Assessment and INVALSI.
