What is light. Visual system and sensitivity curve of the human being. Purkinje effect. Definition of Photometry and Radiometry. Main photometric and radiometric values. Classification and principles of operation of the light sources. Black body and Planck curves. Parameters for the chromatic characterization of light sources: color temperature and color rendering index. Basics of colorimetry. Grassmann's laws. Experiment Color Matching. CIE diagrams.
