Course program
Chemical ecology: relationship between secondary metabolite production and adaptation to environmental changes. Main plant biosynthetic pathways. Shikimic acid, mevalonic acid and non protein amino acids. Principal classes of plant compounds: glucosinolates, phenols, alkaloids, terpenes. Principal secondary metabolites used in pharmacology.
